GvE&Co, 'Moonfish Giclée Print' 1977
GvE&Co, 'Moonfish Giclée Print' 1977
This magical print produced artistic duo, Georgina von Etzdorf & Jonathan Docherty is inspired by the decorative & narrative intricate painting of the Mughal courts of India. The work is painted on brown wrapping paper, the patterns around the off centre ‘moon’ give counter movement to the free floating shapes. This work was made when around the time Georgina von Etzdorf and Jonathan Docherty and Martin Simcock's textile and design company first started up in the 80s. Their brand became internationally successful for its uniqueness and quality of production, creating a lasting legacy of followers worldwide. They have recently endeavoured to restart the business, producing old designs in different formats and designing new pieces all together. Each print is individually signed and numbered by Georgina von Etzdorf. Fine Art Trade Guild quality standard.
