Natural Selection Ceramics, 'Cassava Cup' 2021
These handmade ceramics are made by Natural Selection, a collaboration between James Binning, founding member of Turner Prize-winning art and architecture collective Assemble, and Farrokh Aman, architect and designer at Sergison Bates. Their work displays a common core of interests oriented towards environmental consciousness and sensibility, presenting a critical approach to contemporary modes of production and creation in the arts and beyond. In this series, each piece is made from an mould of a disproportionate vegetable or fruit. Every piece is handmade and unique, dimensions and shape vary.
