Inspired by traditional herbaria and the Victorian practice of flower pressing, Fiona’s artwork under the name Wilderframe, aims to celebrate the evanescent beauty of nature.
Fiona works from her Scottish garden and studio, where the flowers are homegrown and hand pressed using traditional methods.

2 plaster cast intaglios of snowdrops, cast from real flowers. Framed in a solid wood frame, wrapped in printed marbled paper. Glazed with anti-reflective art glass.
Fi McDougall of Wilderframe and Katy Eccles of Imprint Casts have collaborated on a second small collection of miniature, plaster-cast intaglios in wrapped frames. The casts are created by Katy, using the imprints of real snowdrops, and Fi frames them in sold wood frames she has wrapped in carefully selected, traditionally marbled paper.
